Strong winds and rain not only ruin one’s hairdo, they also destroy lots of umbrellas! Usually, smaller umbrellas bought from .99c store fall victim to the wicked weather, but look at the photos and see how big umbrellas don’t survive.

Friday Rush Hour in Journal Square

If you are a new resident here in Jersey City, particularly in this busy area of Journal Square, you would think that there was a rally or demonstration going on.

But no, these people were waiting for their bus. I took this picture today, 10 minutes before 5PM, while I was on my way to a store.

See the “New Journal Square” banners hanging on the lightpost? They were donated by the Provident Bank.

I wonder how was it at the PATH Train station 2 days after it was suspended due to the Christopher Street fire.
