When I came back to my laptop, I was surprised to see 8 email alerts [...]

I am suspecting the weather is responsible for these alerts:

- Due to a signal problem, train service on the Journal Square to 33rd Street (via Hoboken) line is suspended.
- Due to a signal problem, train service on the Newark to World Trade Center line is suspended.
