Jersey city&#8217;s Caven Point Field was shut down last April due to high level of lead. <a href="http://www.nj.com/news/jjournal/jerseycity/index.ssf?/base/news-6/1215066561264241.xml&#038;coll=3"><strong>Reports said</strong></a> that City Council has awarded <em>$1.3 million contract to J.A. Alexander, Inc. of Bloomfield to install a new synthetic field at the heavily used stadium</em>. </p>
<p>Last month, the <a href="http://www.jcregister.com/2008/06/09/nfl-donates-for-field-refurbishment.html"><strong>NFL donated $200 thousand</strong></a> for the replacement of the field, which is expected to finish by September 1st.</p>
