What do you think star player Vince Carter thinks of his current team? Will they make the playoffs?

Is there any Jersey City resident out there a hoops head like me?

I’ve been a Nets fan eversince I came here to NJ. Incidentally, that was the same year (2002) Jason Kidd came and revived the franchise. I watch games as much as I can.

This season, there are only 9 games left for the New Jersey Nets including tonight against powerhouse Phoenix Suns team led by Steve Nash, Shaquille Oneal, and Amare Stoudemire. And the Nets are one spot off the playoff race.

Post-Jason Kidd era, this team continues to falter, as it lost an easy game last night against a supposedly hapless Indiana Pacers. The Nets’ remaining games are mostly against teams with winning record.

Nets star Vince Carter is not the same explosive flashy player because of lingering injuries, and the newly acquired pointguard Devin Harris from the Mavs (traded for Kidd) looks like he’s still adjusting to the system.

Do you believe the NJ Nets will still be able to catch up for a playoff spot this season?

Any Jersey City basketball aficionados know Jason Kidd of New Jersey Nets. He’s a very likeable player who brings out his A-Game every single night. He is a triple-double (double-digit score on 3 statistical categories) waiting to happen. He is a true professional baller every team General Manager wants on his team.

However, some good things are meant to last. It was reported that Rod Thorn (NJ Nets president) has agreed to deal the 35-year old Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks.

JCRegister would like to thank him for what he had done on the court for our team New Jersey Nets. We wish him good luck and success.

The New Jersey Nets receive Point Guard Devin Harris, Forward Devean George, Guards Jerry Stackhouse and Maurice Ager, and Center DeSagana Diop. More on ESPN.

What do you think of this trade? Did the Nets win this transaction?
