I have always wanted to see and talk to Mr. Richard LaRovere, a prominent Jersey City local artist. I’m pretty sure you have seen some of his fantastic arts and sketches like the St. Aedan Church.

Good news is, Yvonne of SpeakNJ.com posted a Youtube video featuring Mr. LaRovere. So if you’re interested in knowing the man, go ahead and watch this 6-minute video.

Charles Balcer interviews Richard LaRovere, a local artist who does drawing and paintings of local buildings. They discuss the history of certain places. If you enjoy local history or art, then this show is a must…

The following photos of JCFridays event in Jersey City are from “Adventures of Tintin” of flickr.com. He has travelled across the US, and has visited several countries in South America, Australia, Europe, and Asia.

Yesterday, Tintin was in Downtown, JC, and he took some photos of JCFridays participants on Erie Street and Jersey Avenue.

The first two pictures are from WORLD OF STYLE VINTAGE and BALANCE SALON FOR HAIR BALANCE SALON FOR HAIR, which presented “Welcome to the Funhouse,” a surreal circus fashion show celebrating the kaleidescopic kraziness of Spring. Events: opening reception for Colleen Gutwein’s “Gossamer,” a colorful series of abstract self-portraits; fab light sculptures by our resident artist, Norm Francoeur!
