I also had to refuel at my favorite gas station — Ultra Truck Gas. Gas price is $3.49 as of writing. I saw Wonder Bagel and I thought it would be nice to take a picture of it while it is still open. (It closes after lunch I think).

The name of the warehouse? AMB Pulaski Distribution Center. The developer? AMB Property Corporation.
According to the news that I’ve read, PJP Landfill was a garbage dump before, which has been closed for the past 35 years. No wonder it looks like a forbidden forest whenever I drive to 440 or whenever I refuel my car from Ultra-Truck Stop (see letter A on the above photo), one of the cheapest gas stations in Jersey City where I frequent to.
According to the press release of AMB Property Corporation, it has acquired approximately 50 acres of land in JC from Roman Catholic Archidiocese of Newark after two years of negotiations.
…AMB plans to develop an 878,000 square foot, cross-docked facility on the site, AMB Pulaski Distribution Center, to serve the nearby Port of New York and New Jersey, and to apply LEED(TM) Silver Certification standards to its design, construction and operation…

Oh, in case you are wondering, the letter B on the top-most photo is the site where the missing Rabbi Zev Segal was found dead.

Unfortunately, there were not much “actions” when I went there. To make it worse, the weather was not conducive at all.

I had read yesterday from NJ.com that our state has the cheapest gas price in the nation. It didn’t really surprise me.
The news reported that the average gas price in the country is $2.98, and in Garden State, a gallon is $2.82. That’s a huge difference.
Coincidentally, yesterday was my gas day so I thought it was the best time to compare prices. I took a picture of my favorite gas station here in JC - ULTRA TRUCK STOP - which had a gas price of 2.83 just 3 weeks ago. I was astonished to see a remarkable low price yesterday!

It is even lower than other NJ places like in Burlington County ($2.78) and Trenton ($2.85).
While I was at it, I decided to go to a nearby gas station for gas price comparison in Jersey City. I landed on GULF Gas Station in Broadway Street. Below is their gas price which is higher than the average. How did that happen?

Do you know of a gas station that has a price lower than ULTRA STOP’s? Let us know and give us a tip!
If my old Honda Accord LX 1990 is running out of gas, I go to ULTRA TRUCK STATION (also called ULTRA GAS) for a refill.
The price per gallon of gas is $3.02 as of December 2007. But at ULTRA TRUCK, the price never goes up to $3 dollars per gallon of unleaded gas. As a matter of fact, I had just been there this afternoon for refueling, and the price of gas was $2.83. Can you believe that?
Do you think ULTRA TRUCK STATION is the cheapest gas station here in Jersey City, particularly nearby 07306? Do you know of other station that can beat the $2.83?
If you want to know the latest update on gas prices, you can follow this link.
If you agree that ULTRA GAS/TRUCK STATION is the cheapest and you want to visit, you can find them at the corner of SIP Avenue at Route 19 / 440. If you think there are other cheaper gas station, feel free to hit the comment box, I’ll be glad to update this post or make another one if necessary.
