Tri-State area dogs and dog guardians are joining together for Freshpet® Bark for the Cure™, a five kilometer run/walk and morning of activities for the whole family that will take place Saturday, May 9th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The event will raise money and awareness for canine cancer research. All proceeds will benefit The Freshpet® Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable organization, whose mission is to support canine nutritional research in the areas of prevention, care and treatment of diseases in dogs, including cancer.

The 5K run/walk will be followed by a FREE Canine Celebration for dogs and their guardians. Post-event festivities will kick off with an awards ceremony for the top fundraisers and continue with disc dog and agility dog exhibitions, a search & rescue demonstration, and exhibits including Freshpet® fresh dog food sampling stations and local pet and human products and services.
