Jay Savulich of Rising Tide Capital informed me of their free orientation for Community Business Academy (CBA) Spring 2009 session — the 2nd of three sessions this year.

What is CBA?

According to its website, the Community Business Academy is a 40-hour (or ten four-hour classes) course in basic business planning and management, designed specifically for the start-up entrepreneur with little or no business experience. Depending on your schedule, you can attend classes on Saturday mornings, Tuesday evenings, or Thursday afternoons.

Small Business Training-Free Orientation for the Community Business Academy Spring 2009 Session

Learn how to start and grow a successful business at The Spring 2009 Session of the Community Business Academy offered by Rising Tide Capital. A free orientation for the program will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 9AM to 1PM at the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center, 140 Martin Luther King Drive in Jersey City. Admission is free and attendance is required in order to participate in the 10 week series of classes covering all the aspects of planning, starting and running a small business.
