Hudson Catholic HS to Give Professional Development for Teachers

Here’s a nice workshop for elementary school teachers here Jersey City. Hudson Catholic Regional High School in McGinley Square area of JC will be hosting a 2-hour professional development on April 4, 2009. Mr. Phil Gazzale, the Dean of Academics and Director of Technology, will facilitate the event. He will discuss the following subjects:

  • Technology with one computer in the classroom
  • Smart Board Technology
  • Powerpoint

I’m a fan of Smart Board: it’s fun and it can be interactive if used correctly. However, I feel that squeezing all the subjects in 2 hours of seminar is not enough. Teachers will need a follow-up especially those who are technology-challenged.

Anyway, if you know a teacher who is interested in this type of workshop, please pass them the words. They need to RSVP by Monday, March 30, 2009. Teachers who complete this event will be credited with two (2) NJ Professional Development hours.
