Long retired, the Colgate Clock in Jersey City sits in a weedy field by the Morris Canal. Life goes on in Lower Manhattan on a dreary winter day as the World Trade Center grows taller. Milk Price > Gas Price

Jersey City Gas Prices
Gas Prices at two gas stations in Jersey City. Taken today (June 19, 2008)

Milk Price is still more expensive than gas prices. For now.

Last month, JC/NJ’s average gas price was at $3.666. Guess what? It went up .20c/.30c! As you can see from the photo above, my favorite gas station (Ultra Truck Station – left photo) offers $3.89 for a gallon of gas.

Despite the increase of gas price, the price of milk remains the same at $4.29 … .30c or .40c more expensive than the gas prices of two stations above.

If the trend continues, gas prices would equal milk price in about 1.5 – 2 months. I’m not thrilled. Who would be?
