A lot of anxious Jersey City residents have asked this question: When will Bally’s in Journal Square (JSQ) open?
According to JCConstruction blog, Bally is expected to open this July. But after a quick phone call last week, I learned that it is going to delay the opening date.
The lady that I talked to told me they will open late August or early September. Praveen, a JCRegister.com visitor, commented the same thing.
I called again yesterday afternoon, and the guy on the other line said that BALLY’s JC will open in two months — around late August.

when is it going to open? any discounts for JSQ residents?
I called today to find out the opening date, I was transferred 4 times and gave my information all four times, then I was transferred to a "fitness coach" who wanted to know why I wanted to know when it will open and that I could just use the one on 32nd street in Union City, I mean I live nearly close to Bayonne, but I work and go to school in Journal Square.
FINALLY I WAS TOLD IT WILL OPEN AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER, THEN I WAS TRANSFERRED AND TOLD THAT IT WOULD OPEN IN THE END OF OCTOBER OR MID NOVEMBER….THEY HAVE NO CLUE THEMSELVES (I hope this is not a reflection of the type of service they will provide once they are open)
No discounts for Journal Square Residents and none fore Hudson County Community College Students (which by the way do not have a school gym and would be a good idea to offer some type of student plan)
i just called today oct 14 and the operator from union city bally fitness told me it will open nov 3 or 4th .
Hopefully, it is true this time. This Bally is known for moving its opening date.
yeah i agree with an .. i called them recently and they told me it will open Nov first week. Not really their fault since they had an issue over utilities with the city.
they better open real soon. i been looking forward for this for soo long. il see you all thereeeee !
this is probably the first time were have fitness near JSQ , i hope they will open soon. im looking forward to do aerobics , i want to live longer. I have all this athritis and i want to move and it help me if i move , a little help

Offical opening was supposed to be today, December 1st. I called this morning and they told me they had "problems" – again, so they’re hoping for the end of this week. Does anyone else think this is completely ridiculous!?

They keep moving the opening date back each and every time. Talk about lack of leadership and goal orientation. They just cant seem to meet their deadlines…..

I have berry gud news . Ballys is op en . I just saw it open last week but forgot to post a comment. but i saw today they are open. feel free to ask for ballys best coupon and they will give you 3 months of free membership. any questions just call them.
im sorry its not ballys best. you have to say Ballys on Bergen is the Best and they will not give 3 months free they made it 4 because they have been pretty slow after last months aspestos incident.
