No Love For Rapper Jim Jones

Jersey City officials cancel the invite for Jim Jones to perform on National HIV Testing Day. They said his work “promotes violence.”
“Mayor (Jerramiah) Healy has always been a proponent of positive outlets for our youth and a strong gun control advocate,” she added. “Mr. Jones’ lyrics speak of violence to women and police, of the drug trade and guns, and other activities that Mayor Healy could not endorse by sponsoring an event featuring Mr. Jones.”
I’m not really a rap-aficionado so I can’t personally comment on his lyrics. Are you a fan of Jim Jones? If so, what can you say about this news? Do you think Mr. Jones care about the cancellation?
For those who haven’t heard of Jim Jones, here’s one of his MTV’s: (Song: “Love Me No More & Byrd Gang Money”)
