		<description>They were almost certainly checking for seat belts and cellular phone use. Police departments across the state have been doing this at various intersections in the name of safety, though really its mostly a cash cow for the cities.  

Other points to watch out for: exit ramps off interstate 80 in Hackensack; Secaucus Road on the Jersey City / North Bergen Border.</description>
