Jersey City Crime Stats – March vs April 2008
Three days ago, I posted the Jersey City Crime Stats for March 2008. Well, JCPD updated their site and the stats for the month of April 2008 is now available.
Before you read ahead, I’d like you to take a guess if the number of crimes in JC increased or decreased.

Before I tell you if the numbers went up or down, below is the detailed statistics of crimes in Jersey City for the past month (April 2008). Extracted from JCPD Website (CompStat):
For simplicity purpose, the graph below only shows the 8 main crime categories city-wide. The total crimes for March was 646; for April, it was 777.
Crimes went up by 20%, the exact opposite of Mayor Healy’s speech last February that JC crimes are dropping.

What can we expect for the month of May? Increase or decrease?
