Traffic: Summit Avenue and Five Corners

One lane is closed on both directions on Summit Avenue, Jersey City causing a slow-moving traffic during the morning rush hour. Cones were lined up from Van Reipen Avenue to Five Corners (Newark Avenue).

A sign on one of the truck says “Fiber-Optic” so I’m guessing it’s a FiOS installation. I might be wrong, though, so if you have details, feel free to comment.

During a red light, I rolled down my window and asked one of the workers how long it’s going to take. He said they might be finished at 5ish-6ish this afternoon. Hopefully sooner than that!

Rant: Can’t they do it at night?

UPDATE and more photos if you read the rest…

UPDATE (5PM): Road is clear now and few markings were visible. Some parts were asphalted also.
