Hudson Catholic Regional High School To Remain Open

Hudson Catholic Regional High School on Bergen Avenue, Jersey City will remain open next school year
Here’s a good news: Hudson Catholic will remain open for next school year!
Three weeks ago, it was reported that the school was closing due to poor enrollment and financial difficulties. However, alumni, students, parents, and residents combined forces after the Archdiocese of Newark said that the school will stay open if it raises $400K in two weeks. Result? Mission: Possible.
… Thomas Bender’s (chairman of the school’s alumni association fund-raising committee) announcement that the group had surpassed the benchmark of $400,000 needed to keep the school open next year was met by a sustained standing ovation…
So what does the school need to do to stay open for multiple years?
…the Alumni Association has said it expects it will need to raise about $1.5 million over the next three years to keep the school afloat…
That’s a huge amount of money. It will take serious fund-raising to accomplish that feat. So, parents, keep your students there!
Kudos to all who supported the school and keep it up!
