Abandoned Gas Station?

I saw an empty lot at the corner of 63rd Street and JFK Boulevard, in front of Cityline Plaza in Bayonne. It looks like it was previously occupied by a gas station before it shut down.
The spot is the boundary of Jersey City and Bayonne. Have you seen this place? Any information about this seemingly abandoned lot?

it used to be an exxon station. as a matter-of-fact, i had friends whose family owned it. they had it for a while, sold it to someone, and then it just went out of business. it’s been this way for quite a few years now.
