No Sword Allowed

No Sword Allowed at Franklin and Palisades Avenues, Jersey City
Image for illustration purposes only.

Cops stopped a man — Maico Severino of Lexington Avenue — who was playing with his sword in the Heights area of Jersey City before he accidentally hurt anyone.

According to the news:

“…Severino approach a large group of people gathered outside a grocery store at Franklin Street and Palisade Avenue at about 7:40 p.m., and began showing off what looked like a black walking cane. But then he screwed off the top portion, pulled a sword from the shaft and began slashing at the air…”

IF (big IF) the group of people outside the store are his friends, I personally think Severino was just showing off his deadly weapon. If not, then it is completely uncalled for.

Too bad for him cops were around the area. He was arrested and charged weapons possession.
