For Jersey City residents planning to get a glimpse of the Pope today, here are the road and street closures in NY:

April 19, 2008 Road/Street Closures 5AM – 3PM
- 47th to 53rd Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue. (Block area of the map)
- 5th Avenue to 72nd Street (for the parade at 1:15PM)
- Pedestrians may cross Fifth Avenue at 47th St., 53rd St., 55th St., 57th St., 59th St.

Below is the Pope’s Schedule for today, April 19.

9-11:15 a.m. – Mass for Clergy and Religious at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral

1:15 p.m. – The Holy Father will be traveling up 5th Avenue from the area of St. Patrick’s Cathedral to 72nd Street in the popemobile.

4:30 p.m. – Blessing of Youth with Disabilities at Saint Joseph Seminary

5-6:30 p.m. – Rally with Seminarians and Young People at Saint Joseph Seminary Approximately 25,000 young Catholics from throughout the United States, including 5,000 seminarians will be in attendance at Saint Joseph Seminary, 201 Seminary Avenue, Yonkers.
