Post Offices Will Not Extend Hours For Tax Day?

Couple of years ago, USPS JSQ Branch extended their hours for last-minute tax filers. There was a long queue of people and it looked like half will not be serviced. I made some calls yesterday and learned that all Jersey City USPS stations will close at 5PM the latest. They will not accommodate people after regular business hours.

So if you can’t get out of work early today, then you will have to file an extension for October. (It also means delay of return, including the stimulus). Contact USPS at 1-800-ASK-USPS (You’ll be asked to key in your zipcode) if you want more details on sending the tax return form.

And by the way, if you learned that Post Offices made some sudden changes, feel free to put it in the comment box.
