JCPD Rescues Stolen Car With Kid Inside

JCPD Trapped Stolen Car (With Kid) at Neptune and Romar Avenues Jersey city
JCPD cornered the stolen car (with kid inside) at Neptune and Romar Avenues. (Not actual car specs in the photo)

Wow, this carjacker was quick! But JCPD was much faster…

A Jersey City father who owns a restaurant on West Side nearly lost his Nissan Armada (SUV), and his 5-year old son who was sleeping inside when a man sneaked in to his car and drove off.

…The restaurant owner had put his son into his Nissan Armada, which was parked outside his West Side Avenue restaurant around 3 a.m. this morning, and then turned around to lock the door to his restaurant. It took just that long for a man to jump behind the wheel of the SUV and take off on West Side Avenue…

He then called JC cops who were quick to respond and cornered the car at Neptune and Romar Avenues. News said the boy wasn’t injured.

The carjacker – Darius Ford, 27, of Bergen Avenue – “… was arrested and charged with kidnapping, carjacking and eluding police, reports said. He also was wanted on an outstanding warrant… ”

Full news here.

Something popped up in my mind while reading the news, but I am not going to post it here. :P
