American Airlines Cancellations: Huge For You?

American Airlines Cancellations, Are You Concerned?

If you don’t know it yet, American Airlines has been suspended from flying their planes by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) due to some wirings that may cause fire. Non-compliance issue, says FAA. Of course, a lot of flights were cancelled, and the first time the company was grounded, a lot of travelers were stranded in the airport.

I saw in the 6PM news that American Airlines CEO Gerard Arpey is taking the blame, saying this situation is his fault. There were reportedly 300 MD-80 planes inspected, but so far, only 130 are considered already fixed. And this suspension will continue until Sunday at least.

Now, 10pm already, I just heard on FOXNews that 40% of American Airlines planes will be operational by tomorrow (Friday).

Are you concerned about all this?

Do you know of Jersey City travelers affected by American Airlines cancellations? I wonder how this issue affects local Jersey City businesses…
