Definitely not $20K. When I leave the house, I bring a wallet with less than $50 of cash, some ID, license, and small papers that some people don’t really care about.
But this lady who owns a MoneyGram franchise in North Bergen carried a laptop case with money in it. Lots of money, like $20 thousand. Why? Because she felt it was more secure bringing it with her than leaving it in the store.
However, when she and her boyfriend finished eating at the Brownstone Diner (Downtown, Jersey City), a man approached their vehicle and pointed a gun to the woman. “…She dropped the case and the man grabbed it and ran north on Jersey Avenue, according to reports…” Full news here.
