JC Students Campaign for Cleaner Cities and Oceans

6h Grade students of Academy I Middle School here in Jersey City deserve lots of kudos.
A special project that started inside their school extended out to the street when they painted the storm drains last week (March 18) with a stencil that says “Dump No Waste: Drains to Waterways.” It is a part of their bigger mission: Clean Cities Make Clean Oceans.
The students who named their group “The Climate Academy” were led by their teacher Mr. Osenenko. They were supported Mr. Daniel Becht, Executive Director of the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority and Mr. Joseph Beckmeyer, Chief Engineer, by sending out materials and supplies needed to make this campaign happen.
