I wonder how many local Jersey City residents go to WTC daily…. Anyway, nj.com reports that the new entrance will be at Vesey Street, and the escalators will also be moved to bring commuters there. No definite timetable given for opening of the Vesey entrance, though.
…The latest street entrance to the station will be at Vesey Street off and Greenwich Street and the turnstiles will be moved, said Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which runs the system.
The current entrance, on Church Street, was moved about 50 feet south from the previous entrance during the summer…
The expanded WTC station is designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
