Got Old Textbooks? Sell ‘Em!

If you have several unused textbooks sitting on your shelves and you don’t know what to do with them, you might want to monetize by selling them.
When I saw the banner “Sell Your Books Here”, I thought this bookstore is the solution to my “books dilemma”. I went inside and talked to a guy, and asked if selling is for Hudson County Community College (HCCC) only, and he said no.
So how does it work?
He said just bring the textbooks, and we can discuss the price. They can buy it for 50% of its original price, depending on the book’s condition. If it’s mint, it can be sold for a higher price.
I haven’t sold anything YET, but I will definitely use this bookstore to save some space in my room and monetize a little bit. Maybe you want to do the same thing.
But before you go there, make sure to call first! You’ll never know if they change their store hours, like today – Good Friday – they are closed, and will reopen Wednesday. (I will call them to update this post)

Need something like that in Lubbock where my oldest is attending Texas Tech. Even the off-campus only buys back at 25%. Maybe some of us smart Internet types need to come up with a way… Hhhmmm…

Try a site like http://www.Campusbooks.com , they do a price comparison and show you who is buying the book and for how much. It is a good tool to make sure the bookstore is paying you the max that the book is worth. If you can get the bookstore to pay you more, more power to you. If not, you have another option and most place will pay for the shipping of the book.
