JKA Jersey City Belt Exam Set

JKA Shotokan Alliance Jersey City

JCRegister learned about this martial arts event in the McGinley Square area. Should be fun to watch/participate if you enjoy karate. Read below for their invitation:

The Japan Karate Association Shotokan Alliance (JKASA), the Jersey City chapter of Japan Karate Association (JKA), the oldest and biggest karate group in the world, will conduct a belt promotional examination on March 22, 2008, 9AM, in JKASA’s dojo at 124 Storms Avenue in Jersey City.

A total of 8 karatekas will vie for the 7th Kyu (yellow), 6th Kyu (green), 5th Kyu (blue) and 4th Kyu (purple) belts.

JKASA instructors’ Sensei Oscar Carpina and Sensei Elmer Karaan will conduct the exam.
