New Spring 2008 Art Exhibitions – SPRAWL

I received an email last week from Jersey City Museum (JCM) about this new Art Exhibition, but decided to post only now to keep the information fresh to the readers’ minds.
Tomorrow, March 20, 2008, JCM will have an opening reception for Spring 2008 Exhibitions that will feature SPRAWL….
What is SPRAWL?
SPRAWL, is a multi-venue exhibition that addresses the issues and problems related to sprawl as we know it in our state. The effects on urban, suburban, rural and marginalized areas are all addressed by the works in this exhibition. Artists from all over New Jersey have been selected to participate. Works in the exhibition range from drawings and paintings to interactive installations. Through this exhibition, the museum was hoping to explore as many different concepts and understandings of the idea of sprawl and its attendant issues as possible.
