Jersey City Photos

Long retired, the Colgate Clock in Jersey City sits in a weedy field by the Morris Canal. Life goes on in Lower Manhattan on a dreary winter day as the World Trade Center grows taller. Holy Week Starts on Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday at St. Aedan Church
Fr. Joe Astarita reminding the parishioners of the Holy Week

I missed the Procession with Palms that took place at 10AM today so there’s no picture of it. The mass photo above was lousy, as I had to do it as discreetly and as quickly as I can. (I was at the church!)

Anyway, for Christians out there, particularly devout Catholics, you probably know that Palm Sunday is the start of Holy Week.

If you are interested, you can participate in some of the Holy Week observations at Saint Aedan Church:

March 20 – Holy Thursday (No other Masses) – 7:00 PM Mass of the Last Supper

March 21 – Good Friday – 6:00 PM Celebration of the Lord’s Passion

March 22 – Holy Saturday – 8:00 PM Easter Vigil (bi-lingual)

See the Full Holy Week Schedule on St. Aedan Parish Website.
