Long retired, the Colgate Clock in Jersey City sits in a weedy field by the Morris Canal. Life goes on in Lower Manhattan on a dreary winter day as the World Trade Center grows taller. Scariest Address Ever?

666 Newark Avenue, Liberty Saving Federal Credit Union
Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union was organized on March 1, 1951 under the name “Hudson County School Employees Federal Credit Union”

Picture speaks for itself.

When I first saw this, I shook my head and let out a chuckle. As a Christian, my first thought was the address is a bad omen. Why did William and Catherine Miller (founders of Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union) chose this place instead of 665? (“Casa Manila” restaurant is at 665 Newark Avenue).

But as it appears, the business is already 57 years old and still looking good. I don’t know anything about Liberty Savings, but they must be doing the right things.

Therefore, address number does not determine your fate. (But I still won’t choose that number :P )
