Tomorrow is JCFridays, March 7, 2008

What is JCFridays?

If you still don’t know it yet, JCFridays is a quarterly city-wide event here in Jersey City, held on the first Friday at the start of every season. JCFridays is an exhibition of culture and arts in JC filled with fun and educational programs that are open for public. Tomorrow is the 2nd JCFridays, and the next will be on June 6th, 2008.

What to Expect

Expect a day full of fun and educational events categorized into four types: art, performance, music, and film. The events will be in different place and the time will be over-lapping. So make sure you choose a few that interest you the most and have fun.

In case you are a JCFridays newbie, there are at least 20 events that are “family-friendly” to choose from.

Jersey City Museum pre:Spring

For instance, Jersey City Museum hosts an early celebration of Spring! See Carson Fox’s flowers blooming in the atrium, rest up for a bit before the night out in our theater, where the black and white drive-in classic cult film Bloodlust will be screening, hear the sweet soul sounds of The 1 & 9’s during a live performance and have some Sangria or Jersey’s Own Soda.

On the other hand, from 10am-12pm KIDDEE KORNER DAY CARE CENTER will present “Morning Storytime, led by special guest reader Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy. Parents are invited to bring their children and explore the facilities at Kiddie Korner. Then enjoy an exciting selection of stories read aloud by the Mayor and friends! 304 Martin Luther King Dr, 201-332-1423.

Art House Productions
