I know a lot of Jersey City residents work in Manhattan, NYC so you probably know that there was an explosion at Times Square Plaza at 42nd Street and 7th Avenue in New York. According to the news I was watching, it happened 4am today, March 6, 2008.

A man in a gray hoodie planted a bomb at Armed Forces Recruitment Center then flee away in a bicycle. Lots of police are investigating the explosion and Times Square has been shut down as of this writing. (6th and 8th are also shutdown).

However, subways and trains have been restored.

Everything I have posted is from CBS 2 News. So if there are any errors, let me know.

UPDATE 6:35AM : Broadway Avenue and 8th have been re-opened to motorists and pedestrians; manhunt continues.
