Weather Alert: Snow Tonight Feb. 29 – March 1

This morning I expressed my slight disappointment when it snows on a Friday here in Jersey city, instead of a Monday. It means we can’t enjoy one day of a weekend. However, this morning, I doubted the forecast noting that the previous reports were inaccurate.

But, as it appears, the snow is really coming.

Snow is coming Feb 29, 2008

As a matter of fact, National Weather Service already released a Special Weather Report. Read below (relevant parts highlighted)

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS EVENING AS A STORM SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH THE AREA. LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN TO FALL ACROSS NORTHERN NEW JERSEY AND THE NEW YORK METRO AREA BETWEEN 6 PM AND 8 PM…AND SPREAD EAST ACROSS COASTAL CONNECTICUT AND LONG ISLAND THROUGH 10 PM. WITH TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW FREEZING ACROSS THE REGION…SNOW WILL STICK TO ROADWAYS AND LIKELY RESULT IN HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
