Have You Been to Jersey City Public Library Five Corners Branch Lately?

I was at the Filipino Store on Newark Street one day so I decided to take a picture of the Library which is just right across the street. I opted to go in since I haven’t been there for years. I was wondering what’s new in this place.
Seems like nothing much has changed. The black drapes are still there covering the building from the sunlight. The bulletin boards and doors are still bombarded with Jersey City’s advertisements (mostly services, fundraisers, social awareness, etc), they still offer video rentals, and yes, there’s still the free internet access.

The last time I used the free internet there was 6 years ago when I still didn’t have my own PC. Back then, only 30 minutes was allowed per person and you can’t go for consecutive use. You have to wait one turn and sign up for another 30 minutes. I can’t believe I endured walking 16-blocks back and forth in the brutal cold to use a computer!
Do you know if the library changed their internet access policy already? Do you have your own Library Card?
Today (Feb. 23, 2008) at 2:00PM they are having a Poetry Reading and story-telling with poet Elma Martin. The name of the event is Love and Friendship with Poet Elma Martin and Friends.
Are you going to be there?
