NJ Gas Price, Cheapest in the Nation
I had read yesterday from NJ.com that our state has the cheapest gas price in the nation. It didn’t really surprise me.
The news reported that the average gas price in the country is $2.98, and in Garden State, a gallon is $2.82. That’s a huge difference.
Coincidentally, yesterday was my gas day so I thought it was the best time to compare prices. I took a picture of my favorite gas station here in JC - ULTRA TRUCK STOP - which had a gas price of 2.83 just 3 weeks ago. I was astonished to see a remarkable low price yesterday!
It is even lower than other NJ places like in Burlington County ($2.78) and Trenton ($2.85).
While I was at it, I decided to go to a nearby gas station for gas price comparison in Jersey City. I landed on GULF Gas Station in Broadway Street. Below is their gas price which is higher than the average. How did that happen?

It is a little tricky going there, as it is at the corner of Sip and US1 & 9 Highway. If you are in Sip, make sure you are on the right lane. When you hit the end DO NOT make a right towards US 1 & 9, go straight instead. Follow the map/direction above.
